Graduates
Over the weekend, I drove through the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, across the high desert of Eastern Washington, and through the rolling Palouse Hills into Idaho. It was double-graduation Friday. I stopped off in Washington to see my nephew, Danny, graduate from kindergarten. It was then on to Idaho where my brother, Luke, graduated from high school. Congratulations to both of you!

Danny will go on to first grade next year, where he will continue his education in reading, writing, and being in love with the Seattle Mariners.

When he's not obsessing over Halo 3, Luke will flirt with girls as a lifeguard this summer (assuming he can manage to keep sunblock out of his eyes). This fall, we're going to Japan and then he has to either get a real job or put off the inevitable by parking himself in college for a time. He's unsure at this point which of the divergent roads in the proverbial yellow wood he'll be taking.

Volunteers needed
Jasun is looking for more volunteers to help out next Saturday with the Pedalpalooza kick off dance party, which precedes the World Naked Bike Ride. Sounds like it's going to be a good time! More information...

Dad, just so you don't worry, I'm going to be at Luke's graduation that weekend. Fully clothed.
